The Centre hosts the Hyundai Outdoor Challenge, Stage 1.

On the 3 June 2017, the Hyundai Outdoor Challenge took place at the World Archery Excellence Centre, with the collaboration of the Archers Associés d’Apples Club.

This past weekend, 35 recurve and compound archers participated in the first outdoor competition to be held in the new facility of Lausanne.

At the end of the competition, Thomas Aubert won the first price in the recurve men’s category with a total of 649 points.

Kevin Burri and Janine Hunsperger respectively took the gold medal in the men’s and women’s compound category, with a total of 698 and 657 points.

“We had a lot of fun. It was very cool, the weather was great and it didn’t rain. The cover was really useful,” said Cecile Monforte, one of the participants.  Coralie Jenny said “The competition was well organised and was conducted efficiently.”
